Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water) is sterile water that contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol. It is used to reconstitute (mix) lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides before injection.

The benzyl alcohol helps prevent the growth of bacteria, allowing the solution to be used for multiple doses when handled properly.

Why use BAC Water?

How do I use it?

1. Clean the tops of both vials with an alcohol swab.

2. Draw the required amount of BAC Water into a sterile syringe.

3. Slowly inject the water down the inside wall of the peptide vial.

4. Do not shake the vial—gently swirl until the peptide is completely dissolved.

5. Use a new sterile needle and syringe for every injection.

• BAC Water is intended only for reconstituting injectable medications and peptides—it should not be injected by itself.

Note: BAC Water is commonly used for multi-dose peptide preparations because the added benzyl alcohol helps reduce bacterial contamination. It is not recommended for newborns or infants, and all reconstituted peptides should be prepared using proper sterile technique.
